History:   Jim Manuel, founder of Manuel's Iron Works now known as CSM of Winston-Salem Inc. started in 1977 as a "one man metal shop" fabricating fireplace inserts and firewood racks. He quickly moved on to repair work and the fabrication  of small parts.

To accommodate our continual growth between 1977 and 1987 the company moved to three different locations.

In 1994 we moved to our current location on Indiana Avenue which allowed us to expand our facility to support the growing repetitive manufacturing business along with the resale and erection of Classic Steel Frame Homes and Buildings.
